Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro 5G vs Poco X3 Pro Which to Buy in 2023 Xiaomi Review

Towards the front, we get Gorilla Glass 6, which is first in this segment (both X2 and X3 had GG5), the frame on the sides is made of plastic. Besides the regular connectivity items such as Bluetooth, Mi Share, Nearby Share, Cast, and IR Blaster there’s also NFC available in select markets. My review unit did include NFC and I had no trouble using Google Pay on it.

  • If you are decided to buy the POCO X3 Pro mobile, then you should read this first.
  • To its credit, Xiaomi is fixing the number of ads on the Redmi Note 10 series, and that is only set to get better with the upcoming MIUI 12.5 update.
  • I know some of you would be amazed to see that it’s an LCD and not an AMOLED.
  • If budget is an issue, Poco X3 Pro should be your choice as the phone is more value for money.
  • It’s not a bad phone, but rather a niche phone that’ll appeal to frugal gamers, or those who want to pack processing heat on a budget.

Xiaomi cut corners to make a processor with a high price but still be affordable is most evident in the Poco X3 Pro camera. It’s larger than the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, or even the closer-in-price 21.9 aspect Moto G 5G Plus. This means that you won’t receive the Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro Snapdragon 860 chipset free of charge. The 8MP Ultrawide as expected does not retain a ton of details but when it comes to backlit scenarios, then X3 Pro starts to struggle. Sometimes the lens manages to retain good colors, while sometimes it fails to capture good colors.

  • POCO X3 NFC is a smartphone developed by POCO, a subsidiary of Xiaomi.
  • Miui Firmware Updater for PoCo X3 Pro is available for download from the official Miui website.
  • On the other hand, -c makes repo to pull in only the current branch instead of all branches that are available on GitHub.
  • A fairly wide strip with a pattern in the form of thin diagonal lines runs along the center of the lid.
  • With the primary camera you can take 4K videos at 30fps and with 1080p you can reach higher fps.

When you have a high-performance device, you can have a much better gaming experience, and it is unlikely that you will encounter problems such as lag during interface transitions. Snapdragon, MediaTek and other manufacturers have designed a number of chipsets. It is a factor that greatly affects your stock firmware file user experience with its ISP, Modem and other features. You may witness a mobile phone being introduced every day. Considering that many devices are introduced in a year, we think that it becomes difficult for people to decide which device to buy. Sometimes, people think about the differences between the new series and the previous series, and whether it is necessary to switch to a higher model. However, new generation devices generally do not have significant differences compared to previous generation devices.

Anyone reading this should keep in mind that software, like design, is more of a subjective matter, and so what I might not like, someone might love. And if you are someone who loves Xiaomi’s MIUI, then you would love the Poco X3 Pro too. The Poco X3 Pro has been nothing short of impressive in every category I have tested until now. But no phone can be perfect and if it is, then there will be nothing to innovate on. And Xiaomi has to innovate on its software in my opinion. To my surprise, Xiaomi changed the setup and on paper, it looks like Xiaomi gimped with smaller lenses.

In general, compared to the Poco X3 NFC, the phone has slightly risen in price, but this is a widespread trend, and the rise in price is often justified. Now  we have 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, whereas for last year’s X3 NFC these were the maximum possible numbers. Sure, the cameras aren’t on par with the regular X3 and the device misses out on 5G, but Xiaomi isn’t targeting those attributes with the POCO X3 Pro.
